Police undertake knife sales checks in West Conwy area

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team are visiting retail establishments in West Conwy to check if they are following the Challenge 25 policy for selling bladed items.

This is part of Operation Sceptre, a week-long initiative to reduce knife-related crimes. North Wales Police is holding a knife amnesty week where you can safely dispose of offensive weapons at your local police station.

Remember it is now illegal to possess certain weapons in private including flick knives and knuckledusters.
