Due to the current situation, Colwyn Bay's Prom Xtra 2021 will once again be a virtual celebration.

The event that takes place on the first Saturday after the early May bank holiday will be celebrated online instead of on the promenade.

The event which has been running for many years was unfortunately cancelled last spring and it will be the same for this year too. 

The Events Conwy team said, "We understand it’s disappointing for many who are looking forward to returning to enjoy family-friendly activities. 

"However keep the date in your diary, 8th May 2021, to enjoy a virtual line-up of old and new Prom Xtra entertainment for all the family."

Cllr Louise Emery, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member with responsibility for Events said “We know it’s disappointing we can’t meet on our lovely promenade, but at the moment the right environment for Prom Xtra 2021 is from your home.

“We’re thrilled some of our line-up can provide a variety of entertainment for our virtual Prom Xtra. And we congratulate and appreciate how so many have adapted the way they work during the past twelve months to provide entertainment, virtually."
