A 23 year old man from Rhyl has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after a serious assault on Wellington Road at the weekend.

The victim suffered critical head injuries and remains in hospital.

Colin Campbell appeared in court yesterday and has been remanded in custody.

Police are investigating the incident and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
