Colwyn Bay will be bidding for a place in the hat for the third round draw of the JD Welsh Cup, when they travel to Gwynedd side Nantlle Vale on Saturday.
The Seagulls go into the game as favourites on the back of a six-match winning run, but cannot afford to underestimate their opponents.
Nantlle Vale, who went six games unbeaten at the start of their campaign in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance first division, have lost only once at home in nine league and cup games. That includes home wins over Bodedern and Rhydymywn in the JD Welsh Cup as well wins in the FAW Trophy against Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs and Coedpoeth United.
Seagulls boss Craig Hogg commented: "Nant will be shown our total respect and we certainly won't be taking them lightly.
"Being a division below us means absolutely nothing and we will be very guarded going there. I watched them play pre-season against Conwy and they had a number of players who caught the eye.
"We will approach the game in the exact same way as all others and be as diligent in our planning as we always try to be.
"The most important thing for us will be to perform on the day and give the Bay plans fans who plan to make the trip over the Gwynedd, a performance they can be proud of."
The two clubs last met in the competition 30 years ago, in 1989, when the Bay won 3-0 in a second round tie with goals from Dave Brett, Roy Turley and Mark Woods.
Saturday's game kicks off at 1.45pm.
