Seagulls take the chance to open 12 point lead

The Seagulls will open a 12 point lead at the top of the JD Cymru North table if they can complete a league double over Chirk AAA on Saturday (2pm).

With neither Holywell or Llandudno in action, its a chance for Steve Evans’ side to take full advantage and extend their lead.

Chirk, however, have gone three games unbeaten since the Bay won 2-1 at Holyhead Road in January, and they had an excellent 5-0 away win at 10-man Porthmadog two weeks ago, so the Bay will have to be on top of their game.

Matty Hill will be hoping to continue his run of form which has seen him score six goals in the last seven games to become the team’s top scorer this season and with the Bay still averaging over four goals a game (90 from 24), they are only nine away from emulating the 1991/92 season when they won the HFS Loans first division with 99 goals in 42 games.
