Take A Hike for Ty Gobaith and Hope House kids hospices

Ordinarily in March, friends of children's hospice Ty Gobaith would be getting together to walk and enjoy 10 miles of beautiful canal side scenery. But with Covid and social distancing things are a little different this year.

To take part in a much needed push for funds, the hospice is suggesting that on Sunday 28th March you perhaps instead dust off your walking boots, choose your favourite 10-mile stretch and walk for local children instead. And of course your dogs and the household who you live with are invited too!

This year participants are being rewarded for their fundrasing efforts with an uique 2021 medal and goody bag.

Medals for the event are being sponsored by Net World Sports and dog tags by Mochdre based firm Pet Place.

Registration for the event is £10 per adult and £5 per child (under 16) and £5 per dog. Every child entrant must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Your four legged friends are welcome to come along and will receive a bespoke dog tag as part of their £5 registration.

There is no minimum sponsorship for this hike, but organisers are asking participants to set up a Just Giving page and to raise as much as they possibly can to support the vital work at Ty Gobaith and Hope House hospices.

Everyone who raises over £30 will be entered into a prize draw to win a tasty hamper full of treats.
