A teenage girl has died following an incident at a holiday park on the North Wales coast yesterday evening.

North Wales Police have confirmed that following a domestic disturbance at the Ty Mawr Holiday Park near Abergele, a 15 year old female has sadly died.  A 19 year old male is now in police custody.

A statement this morning aimed to reassure the public, many of who are holidaying in the area.

"This is an isolated incident with no risk to the public. Specially trained officers are supporting the family. 

"If you have any information whatsover please call us immediately on 101."

Whilst full details of the incident have yet to be confirmed, much of the area surrounding the holiday park was cordoned off yesterday evening with emergency services in attendance.

A spokesperson for Ty Mawr said "We are shocked and saddened by this tragic incident."
