Tough test for the Seagulls in Saturday's Gresford clash

Colwyn Bay boss Craig Hogg expects his side to face a tough test when they travel to in-form Gresford Athletic on Saturday, bidding to make it six league wins in a row.

After going eight games without a win, Gresford have won six of their last seven league and cup games, including a 7-1 home victory over Porthmadog, and have moved into the top 10 of the JD North table.

Gresford beat Colwyn Bay in the Nathaniel MG Cup back in early August, but on Saturday they won't be able to play their Seagulls loaned striker Joe Chaplin, who scored in last weekend's 2-1 win at Rhyl, against his parent club.

Even so they have dangerous players like Jake Eyre who have been in good form and Hogg knows his side will have to be on top of their game to get a result.

Gresford Athletic are to hold a collection at the game in aid of a young girl in the village who has a very rare form of brain tumour. The money will go towards getting specialist treatment in the USA, and any contributions from travelling Bay fans would be greatly appreciated.

The kick off time for this game has now been changed from 2:30pm to 2pm.
