Council officers in Conwy are on the lookout for either an individual or organisation who can help inject some creativity and imagination into helping Colwyn Bay town revive and thrive.

As part of the Imagine Colwyn Bay project, Conwy County Borough Council is seeking quotes from suitably qualified individuals or organisations.

The contract will involve supporting the development of a culturally led "Town Team" approach to support town centre renewal and regeneration.

This project is funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund Great Place Scheme, Colwyn Bay Town Council and Conwy County Borough Council.

Applicants should show understanding and experience of using culture as an economic driver, understanding how community development and regeneration can be maximised and enhanced through cultural engagement.  

A knowledge of Welsh culture and ability to work effectively in bilingual communities is essential along with a good understanding of the challenges facing town centres and the cultural sector on a local and national
level.
