A big hearted scrap merchants in Llandudno has been turning metal into cash for a local charity.
Thanks to the support of Arch Motors on Maesdu Road and their very kind customers, St. David's Hospice continued to receive much needed donations.
During 2019 supporters raised £2096.33 as part of an impressive total of £6,336.55 raised across a three year period.
The fundraising initiative which started in 2017, allows customers to turn scrap metal brass, copper and vehicles into a donation for the local charity.
Rachael Jones, Site Supervisor at Arch Motors said: “The staff here experienced friends or family members receiving care at St David’s Hospice and have all said what a great help the staff were to not just them but also their family members.
“We hope the money raised helps support both patients and their families at St David’s Hospice.”
Annually it costs over £3 million to run the clinical services at St David’s Hospice with less than 14% of funding received from the Welsh Government and Local Health Board.
Conwy Area Fundraiser, James Wilde said:“Thank you so much to both the staff and the customers of Arch Motors for their consistent generosity.
