Tree collection will help Mountain Zoo and Hospice charity

Rather than fighting to get your old Christmas tree into your car or gambling on whether or not it gets collected, why not sign up to a brilliant scheme which helps the community and recycles it in a green and positive way?

This January, Just Giving and St. Kentigern Hospice are joining forces with volunteers from a number of local organisations to help make this happen.

Not only will the St. Kentigerns and a number of local charities benefit but even animals at the Welsh Mountain Zoo will benefit by receiving warm, comfortable bedding and shelter as the cold weather begins to move in.

Also this year support will be given to organisations supporting local farming and land management.

On January 10th and 11th, Just Helping will be collecting trees from right across the area and taking donations for their disposal. Sign up here by the deadline of January 8th at 3pm. Don't forget and set a reminder below.

This collection will make a huge difference to both the hospice and the wider community. This year they will be supported by some amazing volunteers from Abergele Round Table, Anwyl Construction, Denbigh Round Table, Rotary Club of Abergele, Rotary Club of Denbigh, Rotary Club of Prestatyn, Rotary Club of Rhyl, SP Energy Networks, Thorncliffe and Woods Motorcycles in Colwyn Bay.

Collections can be made from the following postcodes LL15, LL16, LL17, LL18, LL19, LL22, LL29, CH6, CH8.

Last year collection was a great success and raised over £5,000 for hospice care at St Kentigern and supporting many other communities in North Wales.

For each £52 raised St. Kentigern will be able to provide a support session for a bereaved relative and for each £10 donated they can facilitate an Art Therapy session.

For further information about the Christmas tree collection or if you would like to get involved in helping the collection then please contact Wendy Clark in the fundraising office or call the hospice on 01745 775426.
