Many organisations and individuals from across North Wales have written tributes to the HRH Queen Elizabeth II as it was announced that the monarch passed away this afternoon aged 96.
Chief Fire Officer of North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II this evening."
"We join the rest of the country in mourning and extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family.
"This is desperately sad news which will be felt profoundly by the entire nation but at this difficult time we reflect on the long-lasting legacy Her Majesty leaves behind in her extraordinary life."
North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin said: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. As a nation, we have lost a towering figurehead, who has served our country diligently and dutifully for over 70 years.
“My thoughts at this moment are with the members of the Royal Family as they mourn the loss of a much-loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
"As Police and Crime Commissioner, I know people across North Wales will also be very saddened by today’s news and that the officers and staff of the North Wales Police family share that grief.
"Over the coming days, the Force will doubtless be involved in ceremonies or other events that take place to mark the Queen’s passing, and I know that North Wales Police will do its duty – as it always does – in a committed and compassionate way, that both reflects, and pays respect to, the outstanding Monarch we have lost.”
The team from the Rhyl Lifeboat station reflected on a life of patronage and support for the RNLI. A spokesperson said: "On behalf of everyone involved with RNLI Rhyl, we send our heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"The Queen dedicated 70 years as Patron of the RNLI. Her Majesty’s support for our lifesavers and our cause will never be forgotten."
Temporary Chief Constable of North Wales Police Richard Debicki said: "It is with great sadness we learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
"On behalf of North Wales Police I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time and our gratitude for the lifetime of service she gave."
Rydal Penrhos School will be hosting a service of prayer at 9am in St. John's Church, Colwyn Bay on Friday 9 September to which all are invited.
The school will remain open for pupils and staff, however the planned Speech Day and Founder's Weekend events are postponed as a mark of respect.
Bayside Radio will be pausing its normal programming during a short period of mourning as a mark of respect for the late monarch. Radio News Hub will be providing rolling coverage on the arrangements ahead of the royal funeral.
