Students from Ysgol Craig y Don in Llandudno played in a football tournament in Wormhout, France over the weekend.

The team won a match for the Artillery Trophy and also won the prestigious international football tournament on the following day, making history as the first to accomplish this double win.

Headteacher Sarah Thomas explained the connection between the places and her delight at the result.

"The towns of Llandudno and Wormhout are twinned, and we at the school are proud of the students and staff", she said.
