Visits to care homes expected to be allowed this month

Controlled visits to care homes in Wales are expected to be permitted from the end of the month, Welsh Government has announced today.

The news which broke during an interview with BBC Wales, will come as a welcome relief to many families who have been unable to see loved ones face-to-face for many months.

In addition, First Minister Mark Drakeford has said that a number of sporting events in North and South Wales will be trialed with up to 100 people allowed to attend.

An arts event at Theatr Clwyd in Mold will also be able operate to assess whether similar events are able to be held safely.
