Wales will remain in lockdown next week and in the short term as the fight against Covid-19 continues.
In news which was anticipated, restrictions will remain in place to slow the spread of the virus along with the new workplace distancing laws which were introduced yesterday.
Welsh Government minister Julie James and other UK ministers have been quick to say that this is not the right time to lift restrictions until the effects of lockdown have been fully assessed.
There are also fears that Welsh communities would suffer an influx of visitors over the Easter holiday period whilst the virus remained a threat.
The Welsh housing and local government minister Julie James said: "It's almost two-and-a-half weeks since we asked people to stay at home, to work from home whenever they can, and to stop making unnecessary journeys. These measures are to remain in place next week."
