Local people are being warned today to be on their guard against burglaries, house and garage break-ins after a number of incidents over the weekend.

North Wales Police have issued their appeal after a number of properties in the Colwyn Bay area were targeted.

With the hot weather and people working or staying at home, criminals are taking advantage of open gates, windows and doors.

Burglaries happened over the weekend on Bay View Road, Highfield Road, Abergele Road, Woodhill Road and Pendorlan Avenue.

Anyone who has information which can help North Wales Police should call 101 and ask for the St. Asaph incident room.
