Witnesses needed after serious Towyn motorcycle collision

Police are seeking further information and help from motorists after a serious incident in Towyn at the beginning of the month.

Shortly after 7pm on Saturday, October 9th, North Wales Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and two pedestrians on the A548 Towyn Road.

Officers attended the incident involving a Black Honda CBR motorcycle near to Winkups Caravan Park, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

The motorcyclist was initially taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with serious injuries, before being transferred to Stoke.

Sergeant Medwyn Williams from the Roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the A548 Towyn Road at around 7pm on Saturday, October 9th, who witnessed the collision and is yet to contact us to get in touch as soon as possible.

“I am also hoping to speak to anyone who has not already been in touch, who was driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage prior to the incident taking place.
