A new zebra crossing in Glan Conwy aims to provide a safer crossing point for locals crossing the busy A470 through the village.
Work begins from next Monday 15 June and is expected to be completed by Friday 17 July.
Welsh Government, working with the North and Mid-Wales Trunk Road Agent and Conwy County Borough Council, has prioritised this work as essential and it will provide a safer, easier and more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists from Glan Conwy village to the northbound bus stop and leisure facilities at Cae Ffwt.
The work includes widening the pavement to make a shared-use path from the railway station road to Pendraw’r Llan.
During construction parking may be restricted at times and there will be temporary traffic lights during off-peak hours.
The northbound bus stop will be closed but a temporary bus stop has been set up near Benarth Court.
Pedestrian access along the A470 may be restricted at times, however contractors wil try to keep disruption to a minimum.
