Canon Quentin Bellamy invites you to a service of Choral Evensong for this Sunday after Ascension Day.

The Psalms appointed are 110 and 125, sung by the choir of Truro Cathedral. The canticles are by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford, his setting in the key of B flat, again sung by the choir of Truro Cathedral, and the anthem, sung by the choir of Manchester Cathedral is God is Gone Up by Gerald Finzi.

The office hymn this evening is The head that once was crowned with thorns, sung by the choir of King’s School, Canterbury, and the hymn Crown him with many crown is sung by the choir of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.

The organ voluntary is the Toccata from the Fifth Symphony for Organ by Charles Marie Widor played by Professor Ian Tracey on the organ of Liverpool Cathedral.
