Police are appealing for information after a memorial bench was deliberately damaged in Dolgellau, causing distress to the family of the person it commemorates.
The incident happened at Felin Uchaf Community Garden, where the bench is reported to have been damaged beyond repair sometime between 6pm on June 20 and 11am on June 22.
Officers say the bench, which was dedicated in memory of a loved one, has been significantly damaged in what is being treated as criminal damage. The destruction has left the family of the deceased deeply upset.
Police are now asking anyone who visited the garden during that period, or who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area over the weekend, to come forward.
