A property in the Llys Mair area of Bangor has been issued with an interim closure notice following reports of anti-social behaviour.

North Wales Police says its Neighbourhood Policing Team took the action under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act after gathering reports and evidence of behaviour which had caused nuisance, alarm and distress to local residents.

The notice means the property cannot be occupied or accessed by unauthorised people for the period specified.

Police say the closure is currently an interim measure and officers will now seek a further extension through the courts.

District Inspector Jamie Owens said the action was a positive step in efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour in Llys Mair.

He thanked local residents who had reported their concerns and provided information to police, saying their support had helped officers take action.
