County to pause on the '11th Day of the 11th Month'

Councillors and local dignitaries from right across the county are urging the public and local businesses to pause at 11am on Saturday to mark the national two minutes silence for Armistice.

Conwy County Borough Council is once again supporting the Royal British Legion's nationwide observance on the '11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month'.

Cllr Ifor Glyn Lloyd, Chairman of Conwy County Borough Council, said "I hope others in the community, whether they are at work or at home, will join us in observing two minutes silence to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in conflict.”

On Sunday, following the 9.45am service, the occassion will be marked in Colwyn Bay with a parade leading from St. Paul's Church to the War Memorial at Queen's Gardens at 10.40am. 

In Llandudno, a service of Remembrance will be held the Church of the Holy Trinity followed by a special service at the War Memorial on the North Shore promenade.
