Colwyn Bay Football Club have announced Sports Holdings as their new official digital partner.

As part of the deal, the club will be one of the first to utilise the company's ClubCore feature which will result in the creation of a new Colwyn Bay FC app. It is hoped that the app will launch by the end of this week.

Sports Holdings are a leading sports technology company that works with major UK, Italian and European sports clubs to transform their digital presence and revenues.

They are already working with a number of clubs in Italian football and the Bundesliga, and helping some England Premier League clubs to manage their digitisation out in Asia.

Sports Holdings founder, Eifion Weinzweig, commented: "We are excited to start working with a club that has the ambition to develop into a footballing force in Wales.

"Being a proud Welsh company it is really exciting to be coming home, and with Colwyn Bay FC we get that feeling of hiraeth.

"What we plan to do with the club is truly innovative. By developing a community digitally between the fans, the club, community and corporate world is what we strive to do."

Colwyn Bay FC Commercial manager Ben Leggatt said: "This is a partnership that has everyone at Colwyn Bay Football Club really excited. The ideas that Sports Holdings have shared with us not only have the potential to really enable us to reward our supporters with great quality content, but also have the potential to open up a truly innovative way of communication with everyone attached to our club.

"We thank Sports Holdings for all their help so far and we can wholeheartedly say that we are looking forward to seeing how this partnership develops.

"Keep a close eye on our social media channels over the next couple of weeks as the partnership with Sports Holdings is on course to bring some exciting club developments at the start of 2021 that will kick off a fantastic period for the club."
