Grŵp Llandrillo Menai received an overwhelmingly positive rating from students in its 2024/25 learner survey.
Ninety-four per cent of respondents at Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor rated their college as ‘very good’ or ‘good’ in the survey of further education and adult learners.
Ninety-three per cent also said the teaching on their course was either very good or good.
Other strengths noted in the survey were that staff treat students with respect (94%), learners feel safe in college (94%) and are provided with good-quality learning resources and equipment (93%).
Eighty-six per cent praised the provision of additional learning resources - up by three per cent from the previous survey in 2022/23. And 82% felt the college supported with personal issues, such as finance, childcare, transport and health.
There was also significant growth in Welsh-medium opportunities. The percentage of students reporting that they had been offered the chance to learn bilingually was up by 9%, while those who said they had the opportunity to be assessed bilingually increased by 7%.
Asked in the survey what they liked about college, learners praised the approachable staff, quality teaching, supportive environment and social life.
One student said in the anonymous survey: “What I like best about this college is how much it has helped me develop my creative skills and confidence.”
Another added: “Staff are always there if I just need a chat and to help me with my next steps.”
