Help for third sector at Mochdre's Social Enterprise Academy

August 24, 2020 - 1436 views

A series of special workshops have been announced to help third sector organisations, voluntary and charity groups come to terms with the aftermath of lockdown and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of these organisations in Conwy are now in a particularly vulnerable position and have increasingly turned to new ways of working to try and survive these difficult and uncertain times.

As well as challenges including maintaining running costs, some are struggling to retain older volunteers as Coronavirus is still very much present in our community.

The Social Enterprise Academy at Creating Enterprise in Mochdre has joined forces with Conwy County Borough Council to develop some new online programmes to support organisations through the current COVID-19 situation.

The programmes are each delivered in 3 short sessions and are on Rebuilding Income Streams, Managing Change and Leading Remotely.

Initially these were financed for free during July and August but the local authority have now extended this throughout September.

For more details of these free programmes which are available to Conwy businesses also fully subsidised, please visit www.socialenterprise.academy or please contact Trish Thomas for more information on 07810 433941.
