Paul Rynn, a dedicated crew member of Llandudno RNLI, has successfully passed his Tier 1 assessment on the inshore lifeboat (ILB), marking a significant achievement in his lifeboat training.

Since becoming part of the Llandudno RNLI team in 2023, Paul has demonstrated exceptional commitment to both his training and responding to emergency callouts. Outside of his volunteer work, he is employed in the automotive sector.
The Tier 1 assessment is a crucial evaluation designed to test the knowledge and practical skills acquired during ILB training.

Conducted under the supervision of a local assessor trainer, it ensures that crew members are fully prepared for the challenges of lifeboat operations.

Having completed this stage, Paul will now advance to Tier 2 training, the next step in his development. After completing this phase, he will undergo a final Tier 2 pass-out, assessed by a regional trainer, bringing him closer to becoming a fully qualified lifeboat crew member.

Robert Williams, Local Assessor Trainer said: "Paul has shown incredible dedication and skill throughout his training, and passing his Tier 1 assessment highlights his hard work. He’s a valuable member of the team, and we look forward to seeing him progress through the next stages of his lifeboat journey."
