This week sees Llandudno Rotary launch its Community Chest in a bid to support local groups during these troubled days.
The Club is inviting local organisations to appy for a grant of between £100 and £500 to help them with their work in the community.
There are many small local volunteering groups, sports teams and drama schools, to name but a few, whose work enriches the community and to whom a few hundred pounds would boost their activities and help out at this time.
Chris Drew from the Llandudno Rotary said: "We are spreadng the net as widely as possible; if you’re local, and if what you are doing is good for the community, we’d like you to apply. Give it a go – you never know!"
The process is designed to be as informal as possible; anyone interested should go online to www.llandudnorotary.org, scroll down to “Community Chest” and download a form.
The closing date is 30th November 2020 and Llandudno Rotary hopes to make the awards before Christmas.
