An exciting opportunity has arisen thanks to an exciting new partnership between a local school and a leading Performing Arts organisation.

With the Pauline Quirke Performing Arts Academy’s Conwy base moving to Rydal Penrhos recently, the scheme is offering one scholarship to pupils from the school that equates to £1,056 of tuition fees.

This will offer a significant benefit to anyone already or currently using the programme from the school, and the scholarship will be determined by Drama and English teacher Fiona Earle.

PQA staff members will also be on hand during recruitment events such as Open Afternoon or our Sixth Form Open Evening, in addition to providing special workshops with younger members of the Rydal Penrhos community to further boost their respective skill-sets relating to the Performing Arts.

For older pupils, weekend work experience is also available at the Academy, ranging from coaching to backstage production in order to gain hands-on practical experience in their chosen field.

Fiona Earle from the school said: “This is a tremendous chance for one of our young performers to take advantage of the Pauline Quirke Performing Arts Academy scholarship, which they are sure to get an enormous amount out of.

“We are absolutely thrilled that the PQA have decided to make our incredible school facilities as their new home, and I know they have thoroughly enjoyed their initial time here so far.”
