The family of a man who died following a road traffic collision in Gwynedd have paid a heartfelt tribute, describing a life lived doing what he loved.
Roger Hawcroft, 67, from Botwnnog, died after a collision on the B4413 near Mynytho on 25 April.
In an emotional statement, his family spoke of their love and pride, saying:
“Dad died doing what he loved, in the place he loved, with the sun on his face and the sea by his side.
“As devastatingly sad as we are, he wouldn’t have wanted it to be any different and neither would we.
“We know how many people were there to help him on the day, both professional and not, and we want you to not only know how thankful we are, but that we are peaceful, and we wish nothing but the same for every single other person that was involved.
“Our wonderful mum is praying for you and always will be.”
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 3pm, which involved a red Volkswagen Polo and a black Yamaha motorcycle.
Police are continuing their investigation and have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact officers, quoting reference 26000326787.
