With over 616 years of cumulative service on the North Wales coast, members of the Rhyl lifeboat volunteer crew had their dedication recognised with 26 Platinum Jubilee medals presented in honour of the RNLI’s Patron, Her Majesty The Queen.
In a special event at RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat Station last Tuesday, 21st June, Canon John Glover, HM Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd, presented fifteen of the medals to the recipients.
Rhyl RNLI volunteers to receive the Platinum Jubilee Medal are:

As part of the Jubilee celebrations nearly 4500 Platinum Jubilee awards have been conferred to RNLI and other emergency service volunteers, retained and paid staff in recognition of their service with those with five years or more service eligible.
Canon John Glover, Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd and Chaplain at RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat Station said: "It’s great to see so many of our RNLI volunteers and staff here in Rhyl receiving this special Jubilee award.
"I have been associated with the station for more than 25 years so it’s an honour to present these medals and recognise the long service and dedication of all the crew members today."
