Police in West Conwy have reported a troubling weekend which included an assault on an officer and damage to a police vehicle whilst attending an incident.
The news comes as the force highlights a recent showing that assaults on emergency workers in Wales are on the rise.
Sadly more than 4,240 assaults were committed against emergency workers, including police, fire and ambulance crews, in the period April 2019 to November 2020.
In a statement it was reported that a windscreen of a police vehicle smashed whilst officers were attending an incident and an assault took place on an officer attending.
"This is not acceptable. Please treat us with respect and work", said the statement.
A total of 20 arrests were made for various offences including assaults, drunk and disorderly, domestic related assaults, drink drive and public order over the weekend.
