March 15, 2020 - 1819 views

The Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales is for the first time, running a 'Signposting People to Accessing Support to Tackle Discrimination in Wales' course.

This course due to be held in Llandudno Junction on Tuesday 31st March is aimed at people working directly with the public who may have little or no knowledge of the protections afforded by the Equality Act 2010.

This course specifically for those working in the charity and third sector will help increase your ability to identify instances where members of the public have faced discrimination, and to signpost them to support and advice services to enable them to access justice.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of unlawful discrimination in relation to Age, Gender, Disability, Race, Religion or Belief, Sexual Orientation, Civil Partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity and Gender Reassignment; and be able to identify when a member of the public may have been subject to discrimination.

Spaces on the course are limited and may be subject to re-scheduling due to the Coronavirus outbreak. For more information and to book click here.
