As the countdown to the Christmas getaway begins, Colwyn Bay is experiencing strong winds particularly on high ground in Colwyn Heights and Bryn-y-Maen.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning from 2pm on Wednesday 18th Dec through to 3am in the early hours of Thursday.
Residents with Christmas decorations or unsecured items in their gardens are being asked to remove them where they pose a risk to other residents and homes.
Drivers of high sided vehicles are being asked to slow down particularly in exposed areas.
This follows the instance of a local bus travelling between Rhuddlan and Abergele which was blown over on the so called 'Abergele Straights' a number of weeks ago. The bus was empty at the time and the driver escaped without major injury.
