Five arrests for drug driving in less than a week have been reported by Police officers in West Conwy.
Officers stopped drivers in Rhos-on-Sea, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay to test for drugs and these showed traces of illegal recreational substances including cannabis and cocaine.
Drug driving is said to be on the increase in North Wales with officers frequently demonstrating field impairment tests on suspected drug drivers in addition to blood tests.
The warning from North Wales Police is never to take the risk of driving under the influence of drugs or drink as consequences can be lethal.
