Junction residents warned as 'substances' found in play area

Police in Llandudno Junction have warned residents and parents to be aware of 'substances' discovered on the Bryn Eglwys playing fields.

It is not known what these substances are, but it is thought that they may pose some harm as children and dog walkers are being asked to be mindful of their presence.

Comments on social media this afternoon claim that there is talk that the substances may contain poison, although this cannot be confirmed at this time.

The statement from officers says: "Please be aware North Wales Police have received information relating to substances being left on the road of Bryn Eglwys and the playing field nearby in Llandudno Junction.

We ask you to be mindful if you are around these areas with children or dog walking. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us on 101."
