North Wales is set to experience strong winds this weekend, with gusts over 70 miles per hour say the Met Office.

The first yellow warning starts on Saturday at 7am and lasts until midnight, affecting much of the North Wales coast.

On Saturday, westerly winds of 50-60mph are expected, with a chance of gusts reaching 70mph in some coastal and high ground areas.

On Sunday, gusty northwesterly winds of 50-60mph are expected, with gusts of 70mph possible in the North and West, along with squally showers and possible hail and thunder.
