A fire which began on Wednesday night at a flat in Colwyn Bay was brought under control by North Wales Fire and Rescue.

The incident in a flat on Rivieres Road in the town was attended to by local crews just after 8.30pm.

A man was treated by paramedics for the effects of smoke inhalation but his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

An investigation is being held on the cause and circumstances around the incident.
