Storm Lilian hits North Wales with high winds and rain

North Wales is experiencing strong gales and stormy weather as Storm Lilian hits the region.

Fallen trees and blocked roads have been reported across the region this morning, including in Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. Flood alerts have also be put in place.

Motorists are advised to be cautious while driving. North Wales Police have alerted the highways departments to address the fallen trees and branches.

The windy weather is expected to receed from 11am today, to be replaced with calmer conditions, sun and cloudy conditions. The expected high today in Conwy is 17 degrees celcius.
