North Wales could be hit by strong winds on Thursday just ahead of the Christmas getaway.
The latest forecast from the Met Office suggests that overnight Wednesday into Thursday, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd and Anglesey could be impacted by winds that could cause mild danger to life from flying debris.
Furthermore, winds may create problems along the coast with high waves posing a possible danger to people walking close to the water's edge.
Poor conditions will be felt across large swathes of the country from the West Midlands to North Scotland and there is a risk that some travel disruption may occur at the point many people are planning to travel on their Christmas break.
