A 39-year-old man who left his neighbours living in fear has been jailed.

Osian Scott, of Lon Y Wennol, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on 6 March after admitting harassment without violence.

On 19 January Scott threatened his neighbours outside their home. He was arrested that day on suspicion of public order and later bailed with conditions not to contact them.

Whilst on bail he continued to harass the family, shouting at them when they went outside and throwing eggs and stones into their garden.

He left them in fear of leaving their home alone, and about the safety of their child.

Scott was jailed for 10 months. He was also made subject of a restraining order to protect the victims lasting three years.

District Inspector Wayne Francis said: “Despite already serving a suspended sentence for a separate offence, Scott continued a tirade of harassment against his neighbours who should have felt safe and secure in their own home.
“Instead, they experience fear and distress as a result of Scott’s unacceptable behaviour.

“I hope this sentence brings them some reassurance that justice has been served and that they can move forwards in their lives.”
