Visitors and locals have been reminded once again to keep their distance from the wild seals which are currently resting and breeding at a Conwy beauty spot.

Following reports over the weekend of the seals being disturbed at Angel Bay near to Penrhyn Bay, the Llandudno Coastguard has appealled to anyone tempted to see them close up, not to.

A spokesperson said: "We were called out to Angel Bay on the little Orme regarding people disturbing the seals on the beach.

"On arrival we were unable to see anyone on the beach but all the seals were in the water indicating that something had disturbed them.

"The seals will soon be leaving for the summer but whilst there are still seals on the beach we would advise people to stay away. The seals are easily spooked and can injure themselves or other seals in trying to get away from people and if you get too close, they can give a nasty bite."
