Officers are appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into an assault in Colwyn Bay.
The incident happened in the area of Eirias Park leisure centre close to the junction with Abergele Road and Groes Road, sometime between 7pm and 8pm on Monday, 6 October.
The woman who was assaulted was walking in the area at the time with her dog. No injuries were reported, but she was left shaken by the incident.
The suspect is described to be a white man in his early 40s, around 5ft11 in height, of a stocky build and has short hair.
He was wearing a dark coloured puffer coat with a hood, dark bottoms, light-coloured trainers and may have been smoking at the time.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Kneale said: “I would like to reassure residents that patrols have been increased in the area as a result of the incident and that people remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour in the vicinity.
“I am appealing to anybody who might have witnessed the incident, or anyone who was in the area of Eirias Park between 7pm and 8pm yesterday and saw the suspect, to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
“Anyone who was driving along Abergele Road or Groes Road between these times, and may have dashcam footage of the incident, or the suspect, is also urged to get in touch.”
