Colwyn Bay hope to reach the last 16 of the JD Welsh Challenge Cup in Friday night's home tie against Ruthin Town and manager Craig is looking for a reaction from his players after last weekend's 4-1 league defeat at Airbus.

"There has to be a reaction," said Craig. "We are better than how we performed last Saturday. I know that and I believe that.

"Now is the time for all of us collectively as a dressing room to pull our finger out and go and get results.

"We've got a golden opportunity to do that in front of what I hope will be another big crowd on Friday night and give people something they will be happy about.

"The support we got in our previous home game against Prestatyn was immense - it was incredible. The noise when the goals went in sent shivers down my spine. The fans are the 12th man for us."

Ruthin were 1-0 winners at the Bay in the league at the end of July and have kept clean sheets in their last two fixtures, against Holyhead and Llanrhaeadr, in a three match winning run.

Also joining to support the club in their Friday night  game will be a new mascot.

All the club's junior players recently entered a draw for the chance to the be Club Mascot at Friday's game and the winner was Under-8s player Harry Wood.

Harry, who lives five minutes away from the ground, is really looking forward to leading the team out against Ruthin Town.

For lead up and reaction to the game, listen to Bayside Radio or follow the station on Twitter and Facebook.
