Detectives investigating an incident that occurred near Glan Conwy Corner on Friday 21st October have charged a man.
Officers were called at 4.46pm to reports of an altercation involving two men. A man in his 20s was subsequently airlifted to hospital in Stoke, where he remains in a critical condition.
A 34 year old man from Colwyn Bay was later arrested and charged with S18 Assault, and will appear before Magistrates in Llandudno later today.
A spokesperson for the West Conwy unit said: "We would like to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the wider community.
