Colwyn Bay Supporters'Player of the Season believes the Bay will learn from their previous stint in the JD Cymru Premier as they go into the new campaign.
Jamie Cumming has signed on for the forthcoming season which will see the Seagulls return to Welsh football’s top-flight after a seasons absence.
“Hopefully we can have a better season than a couple of years ago in the Prem and repay the faith that Wildey and Danny have put in me,” he said.
“A couple of years ago it was obviously the first time in the Prem and I think the jump shocked a few people.
“Another season under our belt, we’ve rebuilt again and we go into this year with a lot more knowhow and hopefully give the fans something to cheer about.
“First and foremost maintain our place in the league and then hope to push on after that.”
he forward was the Registered Supporters choice as the Conwy Brewery Player of the Season and said: “I was made up – we’ve got the best fans in Wales so to get recognition from them is massive.
“Their support, week in week out, is probably what got us over the line in the end.
“From a team point of view, to bounce straight back up to the Prem, is what we aimed to do at the start of the season.
“To achieve that was amazing.”
Jamie joined from Ruthin Town in 2022 and has since won two JD Cymru North titles with the Bay.
“My first season here was difficult from a personal note because of the injuries that I suffered,” Jamie added.
“Obviously I cemented my place a bit more in the Prem in my second year so to come back down and bounce straight back up and have a good season was brilliant for me.”
Jamie missed the final two games of the season after breaking his jaw in the win over Denbigh Town but will be fit to begin pre-season training.
