A not-for-profit community based company with a heart of gold is set to expand following many years of success supporting  people from across Conwy.

Crest Co-Operative which is based in Colwyn Bay and Llandudno Junction was set up in 1998 with a goal to help individuals reach their potential through inclusion and innovation, ultimately benefiting the community by doing so.

Crest's range of activities is broad, helping many volunteers and members of the community gain skills to help socially and build confidence and experience.

As the company evolved it expanded into community recycling and is well known in the area for supplying local residents with affordable refurbished furniture and white goods.

Now in it's latest move the company has announced the recent acquisition of a new site on Pabo Lane, Llandudno Junction.

Crest's white goods and textiles reuse operations will expand to this new site allowing further growth of the existing retail shop and showroom at their original Llandudno Junction site Brierley House.

This already busy location is expected to become increasingly busy as it is located near the new Aldi supermarket opening later this year.

The new Pabo Lane location will also provide further expansion for the work opportunities team, helping local people with learning difficulties and disabilities, such as the creation and maintenance of polytunnels on the new site.

Crest's activities expand far and wide and they have recently opened a volunteer led radio station.

They also actively help many other charities and organisations, recently raising money for Tenovus Cancer Care in Llandudno thanks to the generosity of customers.
