The North Wales coast could be bracing itself for a second weekend of snow, following a new weather warning issued by the Met Office in the last hour.

According to the latest forecast which is also been reported widely by the BBC, a yellow weather warning which focuses primarily on mid and North Wales will be active from 3am in the early hours of Saturday through to 6pm in the evening.

Temperatures are expected to fall to between -1 and 3 degrees celcius during this time.

The yellow weather 'be aware' warning states that snow may be heavy at times and travel disruption is likely on roads and rail.

Those on high ground and in rural communities may find themselves cut-off and there is an increased risk of accidents both on the roads and on foot.

At this point it is not known whether a further warning for ice will follow the snow warning.
