Colwyn Bay will be getting a dose of unexpected Autumnal heat this weekend as temperatures are tipped to reach 22 degrees celcius.
In a twist to seasonal expectations which see September days average 15 degrees, the sunshine is a last minute treat for many older people who choose to holiday on the North Wales coast once the schools have returned.
Saturday is currently expected to see the best temperatures of the week with heavy rain expected on Sunday.
Traffic on the A55 is expected to be heavier than usual not helped by on-going roadworks Eastbound near Llanddulas and the number of cars expected to be heading down the coast to take advantage of the good weather.
However the sunny spell will be relatively short lived as by Monday, Hurricane Humberto arrives in the UK and will quickly replace the heat with much colder and windy conditions.
Whilst It is not expected to cause extreme weather conditions, it will reset the weather back to a more typical type of September day.
