The Alarm's front man, Mike Peters, has sadly passed away at the age of 66.
Known for their anthemic style, the band gained a loyal following on both sides of the Atlantic and in North Wales.
Peters, a long-standing cancer campaigner, had battled blood cancer for 30 years. In 2019, he was awarded the MBE for his contributions to cancer care.
The Alarm sold millions of records in the UK and in their home town of Rhyl, and became the first Welsh musicians to crack America since Tom Jones and Bonnie Tyler.
He was born in Prestatyn and lived in Dyserth with his wife of Jules and their sons Dylan, 20 and Evan, 18.
