Cabins arrive in the town centre for Bay's rough sleepers

Colwyn Bay based charity CAIS is assisting Conwy County Borough Council by allowing temporary cabins to be situated in a car park they own, to house homeless people during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The cabins begun to arrive in the town yesterday afternoon.

The council were given permission and financial assistance to adopt temporary measures from Welsh Government after a directive to ensure that rough sleepers were kept safe during the health crisis.

The cabins are sited in the town centre and will also be located in Llandudno at the back of the Town Hall.

CAIS is a registered charity and leading voluntary sector provider of personal support services in Wales.

They assist people who are having problems with addictions, mental health, personal development and employment – as well as offering assistance and information to their families and friends.
